Searching for the Higgs Boson
by D. Rainwater
Publisher: arXiv 2007
Number of pages: 81
Description:
I first review the Standard Model searches: what LEP did, prospects for Tevatron searches, the program planned for LHC, and some of the possibilities at a future ILC. I then cover in-depth what comes after a candidate discovery at LHC: the various measurements one has to make to determine exactly what the Higgs sector is. Finally, I discuss the MSSM extension to the Higgs sector.

Physics Searches at the LHC
by David E. Morrissey, Tilman Plehn, Tim M.P. Tait - arXiv
With the LHC up, the focus of high energy physics will soon turn to an interpretation of LHC data in terms of the physics of electroweak symmetry breaking and the TeV scale. We present here models for new TeV-scale physics and their LHC signatures.

Theory of Electromagnetic Fields
by Andrzej Wolski - arXiv
We discuss electromagnetic fields, with an emphasis on aspects relevant to radiofrequency systems in particle accelerators. We review Maxwell's equations and show that there are solutions representing the propagation of electromagnetic waves.
