Electric and Magnetic Aspects of Gravitational Theories
by Francois Dehouck
Publisher: arXiv 2011
Number of pages: 240
Description:
This thesis deals with the construction of conserved charges for asymptotically flat spacetimes at spatial infinity in four spacetime dimensions in a hopefully pedagogical way. As a first motivation of this work, it highlights the difficulties one encounters when trying to understand the gravitational duality, present at the linearized level, in the full non-linear Einstein's theory or even just in an asymptotic regime of it.

The Experimental Status of Special and General Relativity
by Orfeu Bertolami, Jorge Paramos - arXiv
In this contribution, the authors assess the current experimental status of Special and General Relativity. Particular emphasis is put on putative extensions of these theories and on how these could be detected experimentally.

A Theory of Gravitation in Flat Space-Time
by Walter Petry - Science Publishing Group
In this work the theory of gravitation in flat space-time is summarized. Most of the results of the theory of gravitation in flat space-time are compared with those of general relativity. We only give a small part of the experimental results.

Observers and Splitting Structures in Relativistic Electrodynamics
by Bernhard Auchmann, Stefan Kurz - arXiv
We introduce a relativistic splitting structure as a means to map equations of electromagnetism from curved four-dimensional space-time to 3-dimensional observer's space. We focus on mathematical structures that are motivated by the physical theory.

The Age of Einstein
by Frank W. K. Firk - Yale University
A book for the inquisitive reader who wishes to understand the main ideas of special and general theory of relativity. Only a modest understanding of high school mathematics is required. A formal account of special relativity is given in an appendix.
